Yelp is looking for a razor sharp attorney to join its small and fabulous legal team. This is a generalist role reporting to the company?s General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a background in a broad range of issues affecting fast-growing consumer internet companies, and will have substantial experience doing advisory work.Some of the things you may find yourself working on: helping to steer our gregarious community management team through legal minefields in dozens of different jurisdictions, managing the risks associated with a rapidly expanding employee base across multiple continents, and staying one step ahead of evolving consumer privacy standards on new platforms. Requirements:
Top law school
5+ years total legal experience
Big firm background (litigation or transactional work)
Must have run your own cases or deals
Consumer internet experience is a plus (e.g., privacy, IP, social media, licensing, CDA, etc.)
Ready, willing, and able to tackle unfamiliar work
Rigorous devotion to detail and organization
Small company attitude and passion
