As a result, we are looking for a top performer to lead our global compliance efforts from our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters. Reporting directly to our General Counsel, but working closing with our Deputy General Counsel ? Commercial, the Corporate Counsel will work with every department in the company to ensure that Ruckus meets its legal, regulatory and ethical obligations in every aspect of its business, but does so while maintaining its irreverent corporate culture.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Development and delivery of training programs on federal and state laws and industry best practices related to the manufacture and sale of wireless equipment
Review and advise on industry, trade association and carrier customer requirements and best practices related to manufacturing, health and safety, environmental, security and other policies
Development of compliance policies and procedures for all employees and contractors in the United States and our international locations
FCPA and other anti-bribery/anti-corruption compliance
Documenting compliance with our Standards of Business Conduct
Labor and employment law compliance
Securities compliance
Leading internal investigations of potential compliance violations
TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate of a top 50 law school and either or both of major law firm training or Fortune 500 corporate legal experience
5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: FCPA and other related anti-bribery laws, procurement integrity, ethics, standards of business conduct, ?34 Act filings, SOX, conflict of interest, trade regulations/export controls, labor and employment, manufacturing (e.g., e-waste, labor conditions), and corporate investigations
Superior attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple projects
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and/or proprietary information
Knowledge of compliance and legal research tools
Knowledge of manufacturing laws and industry codes
