Join the growing legal department at Ruckus?s Sunnyvale headquarters. Ruckus is seeking a product counsel to work with product, engineering, policy, and other business units, and will report to the Deputy General Counsel - IP.
As we continue to build the legal department, you will get to help shape this role. As a result, we are looking for a person with broad skills and the initiative to identify needs and develop solutions for providing product support to a rapidly growing company. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting engineering and product management teams worldwide by providing guidance on issues related to new and existing products/features throughout the entire product development lifecycle up to commercial launch.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of transactional arrangements to support product development, including inbound and outbound licensing, OEM and supply agreements, development agreements, and consulting agreements.
Providing counseling and training on issues related to Open Source compliance.
Collaborating generally with other members of the legal team on various issues (commercial, compliance, corporate, privacy, etc.) to ensure business needs are met.
Assisting with other IP areas on an as needed basis (primarily trademark and copyright, and possibly litigation.
To be considered, you should have the following qualifications:
JD with excellent academic credentials.
State bar membership (preferably CA).
4-8 years of relevant experience.
