Position Overview
We are looking for a B2B demand generation guru who brings hands-on, corporate/outbound marketing expertise in both traditional and new B2B models for building the sales pipeline to join the team in our San Francisco office. This individual will work directly with the CMO to create our outbound marketing strategy and marketing plans, and then take ownership for their execution and results. This is a great opportunity for an individual who not only enjoys developing the big picture, but also hands on implementation and execution of their strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of demand generation for Vizu, including Marketing Programs, Public Relations, and Field Marketing (Tradeshows, Customer & Prospect events, etc.)
Own and deliver the pipeline number (dollars and opportunities) required to support Vizu?s sales targets.
Prioritize and set consistent strategic direction and strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and external communications.
Develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans that are aligned with the company?s strategic objectives and sales targets.
Develop and implement both traditional (ie: email, webseminar, advertising) and new (ie: blogging, podcasts, viral, SEM, SEO) marketing tactics to support marketing programs and drive pipeline growth.
Ensure Vizu has a strategic presence at key industry events; manage event and trade show participation to drive pipeline growth.
Manage promotional elements of website to continually improve conversion and drive pipeline growth.
Manage Public Relations Effort to drive pipeline growth.
Identify speaking and award submissions that create opportunities for Vizu executives and customers to highlight thought leadership and drive pipeline growth.
Build and ensure the ongoing integrity, relevance, and segmentation of our marketing database.
Evaluate ROI of marketing tactics, campaigns and channels, manage expenses to a budget.
Work closely with product marketing and inside sales to ensure consistent messaging and coordination ofefforts.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS degree, MBA a plus.
5+ year?s previous corporate marketing and program management experience with major B2B technology brands, preferably those targeting online media.
2+ years small company / start-up experience.
Highly preferred: 2+ years in the digital media industry supporting a complex, technology-based product or service. Relevant types of companies include ad networks, demand side platforms, targeting firms, etc. etc.
Demonstrated capacity for developing and executing on multi-tactic/connected customer acquisition and lead nurturing programs that drive results.
Hands-on experience managing event participation and public relations.
Experience shaping research and analysis of current and target customers.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including both marketing copy and analytical writing (writing samples required).
Strong analytical skills ? understands the importance of measurement and reporting.
Understanding of digital marketing, including the search, internet and online advertising market.
Understanding of Vizu's strategic and competitive position.
Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of Salesforce.com and Marketing Automation tools (Eloqua, etc.) highly desirable.
Knowledge of the interactive advertising ecosystem is a plus.

Managerial experience - while this initially an individual contributor role, it has the opportunity to grow into a management role as our business grows ? previous managerial experience therefore desirable
