Job Duties
Essential -
? Work directly with Director, Corporate Events on all corporate events
? Manage, develop and coordinate all aspects of meeting planning for all CHG offices
? Research, analyze and prepare suggested venues for various events and meetings, i.e. restaurants, hotels, golf courses and private venues based on the details of the program, number of attendees, type of event and desired outcome
? Coordinate with marketing and internal clients to prepare communication materials for various events; including invitations, brochures, signage, etc.
? Responsible for proofing conference and special event marketing materials which includes announcements, invitations, signs and event programs
? Independently coordinates smaller events, 25-500 attendees from conception to completion, including venue recommendation, correspondence, follow up materials and on site details
? Consults with division leaders on events held within their division
? Creates and manages cost proposals/budgets and recaps for conferences and special events
? On-site coordinator for meetings and events
? Prepare and arrange hotel, travel and hospitality functions when necessary
? Work closely with CHG Travel Department
? Distribution of corporate awards program for all employees
? Responsible for organizing and implementing employee programs and events
? Other job related duties and projects as directed by management
Requirements
Skills & Abilities:
Essential -
? Ability to handle multiple tasks at a single time while remaining detail oriented
? Able to collect, write and present important company information for the intranet
? Understanding of company business and industry
? Ability to develop and monitor project budgets and prepare progress reports
? Strong communication and organizational skills
? Proficient in negotiation and customer service
Non-essential -
? Proficient in desktop applications.
Experience & Education:
Essential-
? High School diploma or equivalent experience.
? Understanding of Sales Incentive programs
? 7-10 years of Meeting management/hotel/convention service experience
Non-essential -
? Certified Meeting Professionals with College degree
