Jive is seeking an ambitious and talented Inside Sales Representative for our Corporate Sales Team. This role is responsible for full life cycle sales (prospect to close) to businesses in the SouthEast territory with 500-1500 employees. Our representatives in these roles use a consultative sales approach to develop key direct and reseller relationships, via phone and web, that result in the sale of our social collaboration/knowledge management software solution. Start work each day reporting to the San Francisco office starting at 6:30am
Maximize sales into the SouthEast territory working with channel resources in territory and sales management, when appropriate, to target key accounts and close strategic sales.
Execute prospecting campaigns to deliver net new customers within the assigned territory.
Demonstrate software solutions via phone and the web.
Prospect, develop opportunities, demonstrate the product, close sales and prepare appropriate documentation.
Follow-up on inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
Work closely with the Channel partners in assigned territory to develop opportunities and assist with partner enablement.
Evangelize to expand knowledge of the social for business industry as well as the Jive?s distinct competitive advantages.
Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
Expand customer base by identifying and closing new customers.
Update and maintain Jive?s sales database as appropriate.
Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers and technical staff.
Act as mentor to new sales staff and assist in the development of sales training material.
Strong record of success and closing deals with C level executives at new enterprise customers.
Required Location: Jive?s corporate offices in Palo Alto or San Francisco
Required Hours -Mirror the sales territory to maximize selling capacity.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
3-5 years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role for an enterprise software company
Experience selling SaaS applications.
Strategic territory development experience.
Familiarity with Web 2.0 or Social technologies.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
After receiving significant training, employees are required to demonstrate strong Jive product knowledge as well as a deep understanding of technical terms.
Exceptional track record of targeting and closing deals with C level executives at new enterprise customers.
Expertise with Salesforce.com or equivalent sales database software.
College coursework required - BA or BS preferred.
