The Cost Analyst will be expected to assist with and be proficient in all aspects of cost accounting including monthly close, inventory valuation, manufacturing variance tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of corporate ERP and MES systems.Responsibilities include:
? Assist in implementation of Oracle ERP and Eyelit (MES) system, including testing and data migration
? Participate in the cost accounting month/quarter end close including journal entries, schedule preparation and reporting
? Hands on experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) including inventory tracking, scrap and yield reporting, process costing and integration with the ERP system
? Full responsibility for general ledger inventory valuation and period cost of sales
? Assist in developing of a standard cost system for inventory valuation, including variance reporting and analysis
? Experience in the development of standard labor and overhead rates and associated variance reporting
? Manage the cycle count and physical inventory process including physical count control,valuation and reconciliation to the perpetual records
? Analyze operation departmental expenses, and explain variances to budget
? Participates in budget preparation and maintains budget control
Qualifications and Experience:
? B.S. or equivalent in Finance or Accounting, CMA/CPIM a plus
? Minimum of 5+ years direct cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
? Experience with Oracle ERP and Eyelit MES system
? Strong enterprise software experience and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
? Superior written and oral communications skills
? Excellent organizational and management skills
? Strong analytical skills, exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
