Job Description :
The SGRP Cost Specialist is responsible for monitoring project cost commitments and expenditures and is the point of contact with the vendors and SGR Project Management. The SGRP Cost Specialist supports reporting project status, monitor and report out on project expenditures and facilitate issue resolution.
The SGRP Cost Specialist reports directly to the Manager Project Controls.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Safety
Communicate any identified safety issues to the project.

Quality
Ensures accurate reporting to the Project of work status and tracking and resolution of open issues
Participates in resolution of assigned Xcel Corrective Action Program (CAPs)

Work Implementation
Maintain timely and accurate cost detail and summarization to Project Manager and participants
Provide reconciliation and deviation reports
Develop Project Contingency Request / Authorization
Ensure timely review and processing of invoices
Develop adherence/reporting metrics
Provide accurate accrual accounting
Ensure Capital Asset Accounting requirements are met for timely in-servicing of facilities and equipment
