This role will provide general legal services to UnitedLex as in-house counsel and eDiscovery consulting services to UnitedLexs clients as a consultant. This client-facing position will serve as a consultant providing eDiscovery solutions and plans for a variety of UnitedLexs clients. It will combine legal training, technical skills, sales acumen, and customer service sensibilities to cultivate and sustain client relationships. The successful candidate will provide legal advice in the areas on contracts and employment law to UnitedLex and also deliver consulting services to UnitedLexs clients.
Report directly to the General Counsel and serve as in-house counsel for UnitedLex on general legal matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, research and employment law.
Deliver consultative-based eDiscovery advice to a wide variety of UnitedLexs clients.
Manage day-to-day UnitedLex projects with clients.
Assist with oversight and administration of UnitedLex Project Management team and the clients internal eDiscovery processes and litigation hold program.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and learning new enterprise technology as it is developed.
Contribute to a team effort by timely meeting commitments and working smart with minimal supervision.
Effectively manage UnitedLexs relationship with the client, identify and develop new business opportunities with the client.
Maintain and provide accurate monthly reports regarding individual project revenue, as well as overall client revenue.
Showcase industry experience and communication skills by analyzing, resolving and recommending procedural workflow options.
Be the go to person when the client needs eDiscovery advice on demand or other custom services.
Work in a collaborative work environment to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize product offerings.
Build client trust and develop strong client relationships through collaborative, consultative service aligned with the broader needs of the client ensuring a superior client experience.
Effectively lead and/or utilize team, department or company resources to meet the needs of a matter through the communication of work direction and appropriate delegation, monitoring and inspection of tasks.
Provide collaborative support to the client on company products and services such as system access, search creation, problem resolution.
Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects from transition to archival while keeping team leadership informed of status, potential project risks or pending issues.

Experience and Skills
Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school; active bar license in Kansas.
At least three years experience managing a team of paralegals or other discovery professionals on multiple complex eDiscovery matters.
Detail-oriented with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate complex ideas and persuade a wide range of audiences.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of all stages of eDiscovery from data collection to production and the laws that apply to discovery including relevant case law and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
Strong understanding of enterprise data systems commonly used in large corporate environments, including email applications, network shared drive configurations and structured data sources.
Excellent organization, project management and communication skills.
Experience working with eDiscovery vendors on pricing proposals and project management.
Experience with litigation support applications such as Relativity, AccessData FTK Imager, Encase, LAW, Concordance, LiveNote, CaseMap, Sanction, ASPs, and other automated discovery tools.
