The Technical Course Developer position provides a highly motivated individual with the opportunity to design, develop, manage, and deliver technical training for Palo Alto Networks Networking Security Products to our customers and partners worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical courseware and lab exercises for Palo Alto Networks family of next-generation firewalls
- Coordinating and delivering alpha, beta, and TTT training worldwide for internal and external audiences as needed
- Ensuring the readiness of all course materials and equipment prior to delivery, including localization, if required
- Leveraging technical expertise/experience in support of corporate initiatives and revenue objectives
- 5+ years of technical courseware development of courseware and related business experience in the networking security industry
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Superb oral, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- The ability to effectively and efficiently communicate complex technical concepts
- The ability to quickly understand and assimilate new technologies
- A team-focused self-starter with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven engineering environment
- Desire to enhance technical education services processes and recommend strategies to meet the needs of customers and partners
- A working knowledge the following software applications:
- Microsoft Office including PowerPoint & Visio
- XML Knowledge and Structured Authoring a plus.
- Knowledge of Camtasia, Articulate, and Captivate a plus
- Experience creating eLearning courses desired
- Technical familiarity with some or all of the following:
- IP data networking and planning
- Various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
- Network operations
- Project management
- Technical/Customer support
- VPN
- Firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen)
- Active Directory, Exchange
- Virtualization
