You could be one of us Creative Director The Creative Director will establish the creative and brand strategy for The ActiveNetwork as well as oversee design and branding guideline development, maintenance and implementation. They will represent Actives brand and creative tone in execution of product delivery, as well as engagements with external agencies and partners. Proven ability to develop and lead solid creative solutions. Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills are a must. Our compensation is commensurate with experience. Preferred locations: San Diego, CA Seattle/Bothell, WA Burnaby Canada Roles & Responsibilities: Support both internal and external clients by delivering emotionally compelling visuals that help build our brand equity through adherence and compliance to brand guidelines and standards Manage and mentor a team of talented Visual and Graphic Designers cultivating innovative user experiences and creative problem solving approaches to design Responsible for all aspects of employee career development, employee performance evaluation As Creative Director you will drive Creative Strategy and work with multiple teams to develop and produce quality creative solutions that meet clients business objectives and goals Develop project task estimates, deliverable and milestone task assignment will be responsible for managing the capacity of the team Should continue to look for creative ways to document designs using advanced visual / creative thinking Through mastery of the design tools, should be able to create and apply templates to teach fellow designers Fluent understanding of brand guidelines and its application to the creation of images Position Requirements: At least 10 years of solid industry experience as a graphic artist, visual interaction designer, art director or similar role, designing compelling visuals for websites and web applications At least 5 years of industry experience managing creative teams Advanced degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, or other related discipline Possess thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of graphic design, illustration, typographic design, imagery and digital photography Skilled at effectively packaging your deliverables by demonstrating creative visual thinking and problem solving Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, Visio, etc. Previous experience designing for highly interactive, Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) Should have experience with international and localization design considerations Passionate attitude with willingness and enthusiasm to own your own destiny Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within crossfunctional teams a must Portfolio required Nice to Have Skills: Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred but not required About The Active Network The Active Network provides technology solutions and marketing access to community organizations, and is a leading online community for active lifestyles.
