Credentialing Specialist 2 MedVentive
Job Summary
Credentialing Specialist 2 is responsible for providing critical support to providers, clients, and CVO staff throughout the credentialing process. This role manages the distribution and receipt of credentialing applications to providers, conducts provider outreach, and organizes daily delivery of completed credentialing applications to MVCVO clients. This role also participates in initial credentialing and reappointment credentialing of providers as assigned.
Primary Responsiblities
Processes requests for initial applications, including data entry, application generation, and mailing and electronic delivery
Coordinates reappointment mailings and maintains the mailing and follow-up schedule
Conducts continuous outreach to providers with outstanding initial and reappointment applications, second- and third-request letters, and telephone calls.
Reviews and organizes incoming credentials applications, including data entry, organizing files in file order, and distributing selected documents, forms and checks to clients
Completes daily scanning of credentials files into the MVCVO archive and forwards original documentation to MVCVO clients, assuring 100 percent completeness of archived information
Maintains the CVO helpline, answering calls from providers regarding the application process
Processes initial and reappointment credentialing applications as assigned
Maintains shared electronic resources such as hospital rosters, client forms and other documents to ensure that information is organized and up-to-date
Performs related and unrelated tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2 years of college, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years experience in credentialing or related field
Foundational knowledge of provider credentialing required
Must be extremely well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to independently problem solve and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel - with experience formatting documents and spreadsheets and using mail merge
Customer service experience required. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of CACTUS Credentialing System desired
