Credentialing Specialist CHG Healthcare Services

This at-will position is responsible for gathering and verifying healthcare practitioner information and tracking all compliances to ensure everything is up to date. Adheres to company mission and values.
Contacts primary sources (e.g., hospitals, licensing boards, professional references, etc.) to verify and gather healthcare practitioner information. Mails and faxes verification requests to the appropriate sources. Researches verification information via the Internet and other electronic and hardcopy databases. Adds researched information into the credentialing database. Reviews information for accuracy and completeness.
? Assisting account manager in gathering employment documentation on travelers
? Performing pre-employment drug tests and background checks on travelers
? Inputting candidates information into database
? Inputting candidate information into VMS applications, Shiftwise, and other client software
? Generates letters and other correspondence to be clients and candidates
? Other duties as assigned by management.
? Monitor and maintain credentials compliance checklist for all dialysis travel division
? Facilitate provider health screen
Non-essential - Completes other clerical duties as assigned.
Type 45 wpm.
Clear and concise phone and verbal communication skills.
Good letter writing and written communication skills.
Detail oriented. Task Oriented
Problem solving and reasoning skills.
Preferred - Other clerical and office skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service and/or phone experience.
Proficient with databases, data entry, Windows, Word, and Excel.
Preferred - Previous office and clerical experience. Familiarity with the medical field and/or medical terminology.
Post-high school education.
Able to learn and use credentialing database and Excel.
Able to follow instructions and use time productively.
Able to work individually as well as in a team environment.
