We have an immediate opening for a Credit and Collections Manager in our San Mateo, California headquarters. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer or her/his designee, the Credit and Collections Manager manages the overall operation of the Collection Department for Keynote.
The major areas the Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for include, but are not limited to the following:
Interview, hire,train & manage members of the collections team
Plan, evaluate, implement and continuously improve all aspects of credit & collection functions and processes
Assist in formulation of specific collection objectives and achievement of same
Ensure professional relationships are established and maintained with clients
Work closely with Sales and Finance to insure all client concerns, questions and requests for information are addressed quickly and professionally.
Clear written and verbal communications with clients to answer questions, resolve issues and collect delinquent accounts
Responsible for the development of policies, procedures, systems, and special projects related to the collections area
Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex issues both internally and externally in a professional manner
Applicants must possess strong systems knowledge; solid collection, analytical and negotiating skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and a solid knowledge of foreign and domestic commercial credit and collection laws
The ideal applicant will have a minimum Bachelor?s degree in finance, business administration or a related field, and at least four (4) years in a leadership role
Applicants must possess the ability to train, mentor and motivate in a team environment with hands on knowledge using proven collection techniques
Ideal applicant will be goal oriented and have a proven track record of achieving and maintaining high cash-flow, low DSO and minimal bad debt.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in credit, and collections
Minimum of - 7+ years of accounting experience with a thorough knowledge of general accounting (GAAP) including hands on customer account reconciliation experience
Experience in credit check investigation using D&B or other 3rd party tools.
Capable of maintaining a large customer base with a large volume of transactions
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook software programs
Must be adept in inter-departmental communications, encouraging collaborative reciprocation
