You have a passion for the power of education to make the world a better place. You will develop curriculum for our online and in-person Mongo classes as part of a Mongo certification program. The curriculum you develop will be used worldwide by 10gen instructors and partners. You will work closely with engineers and users to make sure our course material is accurate, up to date and relevant. The online classes will touch tens of thousands of students around the globe.
Responsibilities
Structure a series of courses that will be part of a credentialing program.
Create a sequence of learning objectives for each course lesson.
Write detailed lesson plans for online and in-person lessons to achieve student learning obectives.
Work with engineers and other subject matter experts to develop learning objectives and lesson plans.
Develop assessments including programming assignments, quizzes and exams.
Develop student materials for in-person classes.
Play and experiment with the latest teaching technology such as Wacom tablets.
Think critically about how to teach in an online environment.
You are
Excited about the revolution going on in free online education and are eager to contribute by educating the world on MongoDB.
Smart and get things done.
Either a graduate of a top engineering or computer science program with a strong self-taught knowledge of education OR a graduate of a top school of education with a self-taught knowledge of software.
Familiar enough with databases to have a conversation.
Excited about 10gen's mission and core database technology.
Eager to learn a lot about MongoDB.
