The Customer Insights Analyst will be a true customer voice within the organization, being a champion of the Foresee Customer Satisfaction Measurement Tool, as well as designing, implementing and analyzing customer surveys. By developing and synthesizing analyses from behavioral data, transactional information and primary customer research, s/he will be creating a true 360 degrees view of a customer for the entire organization. The insights s/he will deliver would directly influence and shape strategic decisions guiding the Gilt?s future.
Reporting to Senior Analyst, the Customer Insights Analyst will work with the key stakeholders across the company to develop analytical solutions supporting a deeper understanding of Gilt Customer. S/he will be delivering strategic insights and guidance to the Category leaders, helping them understand how customers shop within and across the categories, what are the main triggers of new category purchase, what are the right times to start promoting a new category to a customer, as well as bridging category-specific insights with the overall Gilt Customer view. Managing tactical and strategic tasks, the Customer Insights Analyst will be able to balance the need for analytic depth and the business?s need to make decisions quickly.
? Internal expert in Foresee Customer Satisfaction Tool across all measures (web, mobile, fulfillment, customer service): responsible for gathering and dissemination of insights, internal training in the tool, as well as facilitation of data exchange between Gilt and Foresee. Provide ideas on Foresee data utilization
? Guide the primary research function along the following areas: internal client contact, questionnaire development, programming and checking of electronic surveys, data collection management, report writing, management of the survey budget
? Design strategies and methodologies to mine complex data sources for strategic insights ? Answer data-related business questions in a timely manner utilizing a variety of available Business Intelligence tools
We seek a person who is passionate about analytics and research, and believes in power of insight to drive the business forward. S/he possesses the following traits:
Innate curiosity about consumer behavior and ability to derive insights from complex data sets to recommend improvements to business
Comfortable presenting complex information in an easy to understand digestible manner
Ability to tell a story from the data, speaking before large audiences with various levels of understanding in the analytics area
Ability to prioritize multiple competing requests
Ability to lead through influence and develop strong alliances
Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast paced start-up atmosphere
? 3+ years experience in the area of quantitative research with a proven track record of leveraging data analysis to drive business impact ? Primary market research experience is desired: research design/methodology, questionnaire design, data analysis, presentation findings ? Familiarity with predictive modeling (response, acquisition, retention), segmentation and data dimension reduction tools
? Proficiency with SAS, SPSS, R, STATA or other statistical tool. ? Knowledge of Excel (Cognos/SQL a plus)
? Able to work cross functionally with both highly technical and analytic resources and those that have limited statistical and math training
? Degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, Psychology, Operations Research, Marketing, Sociology or other quantitative field. Graduate degree is a plus.
