The Customer Insights Analyst is a hands-on position whereby you will engage directly with a host of internal business partners on key initiatives. These include: consumer and merchant product development, brand awareness and perception, attitude toward/usage of Living Social (LS), market segmentation and many other important focal points.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to help shape opinion and decision-making. Further, you will gain a strong command of the competitive marketplace along with consumer and merchant dynamics. Finally, the position is dynamic since the industry in which LS competes is changing rapidly and in new ways.
Design, analyze and manage consumer and merchant research studies to gauge and interpret their brand perceptions, product and service needs, and other matters all focused on profitable revenue growth. ?
Analyze qualitative (including social) and quantitative data to create clear and compelling management reports to drive action across the LS organization.
Leverage your business understanding of marketing, sales, product development, and customer satisfaction/loyalty to interpret research results and recommend tangible business improvements. ?
Partner with cross-functional business teams to understand business challenges and recommend additional research and market/competitive intelligence.
Leverage technologies like text analysis to monitor customer feedback delivered via email and social media. ?
Work closely with peers on the research/intelligence team, collaborating on various research and analytical methodologies, to uncover and present new customer insights in a compelling and influential manner.
Partner with CRM and IT to determine primary and secondary data sources to enhance analysis, takeaways and targeting.
A minimum of a Bachelor?s degree is required. An MBA or other relevant graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years Market Research experience is required.
Demonstrated experience conceiving, leading and implementing custom research requests - leveraging primary and secondary data sources with ease.
Experience in the areas of satisfaction/loyalty, Net Promoter Score (NPS), new product, attitude/usage, segmentation and brand based research methodologies.
Experience in the digital arena is highly desirable alongside strong social media-influenced research and intelligence.
Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to influence without authority are required.
A strong desire to learn, test hypotheses, and influence business strategy is preferred.
Candidates must be able to provide succinct and insightful interpretation of data - and business impact. Demonstrated skill set working with quantitative data and statistical programs such as SPSS is a must.
Proven experience with SQL to acquire and categorize data for research sampling and back end data analytics is a must.
Ability to multi-task several projects at once and prioritize deadlines.
Strong communication and written skills with exceptional attention to detail.
