SummaryViewRay is seeking an innovative, resourceful, and passionate individual to drive project management activities at centers acquiring the ViewRay system, a treatment delivery unit capable of bringing MRI-guided radiation into clinical practice. The primary function of this position is to manage project expectations and controls, report internally and externally to appropriate stakeholders, manage the project team, and oversee progress through all phases of the project. The right person is a motivator who can execute a plan and play a critical role in driving the project to meet schedules and budgets. This individual is self-starter with the determination and fortitude to approach each problem from multiple angles and not be afraid to think outside the box to overcome obstacles. This person must have a ?can do? attitude while providing strong leadership and supervision to project teams (including other project managers, field managers, project engineers, and field crews) and subcontractors. This person is motivated by the opportunity to change the way medicine is practiced and to ultimately improve the lives of cancer patients being treated with radiation therapy, helping save precious human lives.
Responsibilities
Responsible for globally managing all current and future customer project activities relating to site planning and build-out activities, managing scheduling and timelines while coordinating activities with ViewRay Operations.
Support sales and marketing teams with site requirements.
Support sales by visiting with customers and contractors to scope projects and determine site readiness and timing.
Work closely with hospital personnel, contractors, architects, and city building inspectors to ensure compliance with relevant codes and requirements (floor plan, foundation, electrical supply, etc.) and develop comprehensive installation schedules and plans for each site.
Assist in prioritizing projects based on resource allocation and company objectives.
Develop and recommend strategies for technical solutions based on analysis of the customer?s business needs, objectives, and existing system infrastructure.
Provide creative energy to help push the boundaries of the status quo.
Qualifications
Technical degree (ME, EE, or equivalent desired) and minimum 10 years of project management experience in radiation therapy, radiation oncology, or radiology.
Leadership skills, including the ability to organize, utilize, and motivate team members to respond quickly to changes in the project schedule.
Ability to read, understand, and edit drawings, electrical diagrams, and structural plans.
Strong analytical skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to implement site-specific design modifications.
Ability to analyze project scenarios and make quick, intelligent decisions based on factual data.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive business relationships with all functional areas within ViewRay as well with customers and their contractors.
Ability to establish goals and meet department and corporate objectives.
Experience with adversity but demonstrated perseverance.
