Job Description
As a member of the Quality team, the Customer Quality Engineer will leverage his/her experience and knowledge toward managing customer accounts and various activities related to customer quality and service satisfaction. This will include where appropriate technical response and Failure Analysis on RMA returns. The Customer Quality Engineer's responsibility is to be the main quality point of contact for the OEM customer and lead technical support of quality and/or environmental compliance related issues. This support may extend to customer CM or EMS partners. The ability to resolve customer issues with a sense of urgency through customer interaction, facilitating team participation, and effective root cause analysis.
Main Role
Understand and represent customer's quality requirements inside Audience
Represent Audiences? quality story to the customer
Support customer requests and balance against Audience QA processes
Support Customer quality and environmental compliance documentation
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer inquiry and feedback relating to product quality, reliability, and/or environmental compliance. Serve as front line quality interface.
Identify gaps in the business processes and propose solutions
Problem resolution and primary interface to the customer on quality and reliability issues
Support quality improvement activities
Develop/strengthen customer relationships and scorecard management
Support customer product return process on quality issues
Experience, Skills and Education Required
BSEE or similar
Minimum 5 years? experience in a semiconductor IC technical role (Quality, Reliability or manufacturing disciplines)
Working technical knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing, packaging, and/or test
Team oriented, good communicator (written and verbal)
Strong Analytic ability
Good presentation and customer interaction skills
Good knowledge in quality processes
Experience, Skills and Education Desired
Previous customer account experience in a technical role
Fabless or captive semiconductor experience
Managed Korea or other APAC customers (eg Samsung, Huawei)
Solid working knowledge of MS Office tool suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
An ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Ability to enthusiastically interact and influence customers with a clear, accurate overview supported by detail.
