This position is responsible for generation and management of sales related to the TSM/PAL product lines. The specialist will handle heavy volume inbound call and order activity. The specialist will develop and maintain customer relationships. Outbound calls will be made to ensure customers are meeting minimum purchase requirements for the Loan Programs and to generate additional purchases. The specialist will be responsible for sales related activities for an assigned territory.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Assist Scantron customers with inquiries regarding Scantron solutions, which may include product recommendation, troubleshooting, problem solving and issue resolution.
Order entry and order management through a combination of inbound & outbound sales calls, e-commerce, mail , e-mail, fax and web orders.
Account and Territory Management.
Loan program qualification.
Prepare price quotes, RFP and Bids.
Enforce contract adherence.
Lead generation to increase existing business and generate new business.
Support National Account Manager on Top Tier accounts.
Inform Scantron management of all competitive activity, new competitive products and sales lost to competition.
Assist Accounting with research on past due invoices for collection purposes, submit billing corrections and return requests.
Support and train customers on the use of our scanners and forms.
Troubleshoot e-commerce technical order issues, and assist clients with online registrations and webinars.
Contact Center duties include management of Scantron's primary inbound phone, mail and email activity.
Perform team and individual administrative tasks.
Attend department meetings, quarterly meetings, and seminars, training, trade shows and sales meetings as required by Scantron Management. Possible travel and overnight stay required.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Education & Knowledge Required
Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years Contact Center or Sales experience.
Experience with Oracle is preferred.
Excellent computer skills including advanced knowledge of MS Office applications. Type at least 60 words per minute.
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional organization and time management skills. Must have the ability to juggle priorities, reverse direction and modify plans as needed.
Knowledge of Contact Center operations.
Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive manner.
Capable of making "on the spot" decisions; i.e., pricing and terms negotiations and authorization of product returns (within corporate guidelines).
Strong mathematical skills.
