THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED SUMMARY: As a customer service specialist, the job responsibilities are answering incoming calls from customers to process orders, responding to general written inquiries and questions, handling complaints, troubleshooting problems, providing product alternatives or suggestions and general scientific product information - all while providing outstanding customer experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer phones professionally and courteously.
Delight customers with creative solutions to problems.
Process orders and respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion.
Provide customers with product referrals and service information.
Offer enhancements and related products when appropriate.
Make policy exception decisions to handle unique customer concerns.
Communicate inter-departmentally and collaboratively to benefit customers.
Follow-up on customer calls when necessary.
Comply with all safety and quality standards.
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees must act in a responsible manner to ensure the care of their own health and safety and where appropriate, their team and that of others who may be affected by their omissions at work.
Minimum HS diploma/GED required; college degree (or in-process) highly preferred.
Minimum two years of customer service experience required (could include retail, hospitality, etc.).
Strong PC skills required; proficient in Microsoft Office.
Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written).
Proven ability to problem solve, multi-task and take initiative.
Capacity to learn new information both general and technical.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in a call center environment preferred.
Soft sales experience desirable.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00A - 6:00P.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Sit and use a computer
Use a telephone headset to speak with customers
Lift 5-10lbs occasionally
Office Setting 100%
