Responsibilities
This position requires exceptional collaborative skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with various cross-functional groups throughout Tripwire. A professional and positive demeanor is essential to this job. An understanding of the service orientated nature of this position is crucial as well, i.e., the primary and forefront goal for any Professional Services Consultant at Tripwire is to service our customers in the most efficient and beneficial manner possible.
Work as a Professional Services Consultant to deploy Tripwire, Inc. software in the Northeast territory of the U.S. Occasionally team with Tripwire, Inc. partners to deploy Tripwire products and perform knowledge transfer.
Develop custom scripts and integrations to fulfill customer need as identified
Collect infrastructure technical requirements from a prospect/customer and create implementation and production deployment procedures for Tripwire products to interoperate and work within prospect/customer?s site.
Perform project management functions for prospect and customer engagements to which you are assigned including, but not limited to, project scheduling, project tracking and status/completion reporting.
Provide remote and on-site support to customer during the testing, evaluation/pilot and production phases to ensure a successful deployment.
Responsible for supporting Tripwire?s professional services revenue objectives.
Extensive travel will be required; expect 80 percent within the first six months of employment.
Maintain at least 65% billable utilization
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of attributes, education and experience:
BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Requires experience with multiple operating systems, security policies and terminology.
Ideal candidate will have very solid security background with experience conducting assessments and architecting solutions
Ideal candidate will have strong skills working with reporting and business intelligence skills
Knowledge of the software development cycle.
Fundamental systems security knowledge required
SANS, White/Black Hat, or other security training desirable.
10-12 years advanced system networking and troubleshooting experience.
Highly motivated with strong communication, presentation, and writing skills required.
Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and recommendations.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Superb trouble-shooting skills, persistence in problem-solving.
Previous field consulting experience is desirable.
System administrator experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows Operating Systems desirable
Experience with EMS/NMS/Change Management (i.e. Tivoli, Remedy, HP Openview).
Experience with implementing, operating, and tuning Logging and SIEM solutions
Experience with Networking equipment, i.e. Cisco, Extreme, etc is desirable.
Ability to program in Java and Perl is desirable.
Experience and understanding of regular expressions and scripting languages is a plus.
CISA or CISSP certifications a plus.
