Customer Success Engineer Xamarin

What we are looking for:
We are looking for software engineers or mobile app developers in a customer-facing role to help existing and potential customers use Xamarin to build great mobile apps. This is a sales engineering role with an emphasis on customer conversations. If you have not worked in a customer-facing role before, we are willing to teach you everything you need to know to be successful.
What you should bring to this role:
- Strong technical knowledge. A programming background is ideal as you will be interacting with developers on a daily basis.
- A love of helping other people solve problems.
- Prior experience building mobile apps on iOS, Android, or Windows - or a strong interest, willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Experience with C#/.NET, MonoTouch and Mono for Android is a plus.
- Familiarity with the ecosystem of mobile tools, APIs, frameworks.
- The ability to make technical topics easy to understand, on the phone and over email.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Results-oriented; willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Solid communication skills (written and spoken).
A Day in the Life:
Xamarin has hundreds of downloads and inbound inquiries from developers every day. An important part of your role will be to follow up with new users who have technical questions, understand their requirements, educate them about Xamarin, and ensure that they are successful on our platform. Xamarin already has more than 10,000 paying customers, all of whom are developers, and you will be engaging with them to ensure they have everything they need to build great mobile apps.
Furthermore, you will be our customers' voice within the Xamarin organization; our goal is to build the best possible developer platform, and it will be your role to find out what customers need from us in order to be more successful. If you have an engineering background, enjoy helping other people succeed, and like engaging with customers, this is a great chance to move into a customer-facing role with a strong technical focus. We will give you access to inside technical resources (including our CEO) to ensure that you have the knowledge and ammunition to be successful.
