Customer Support Representative Etsy
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are looking for passionate, creative, hard working and socially minded people to help Etsy provide exceptional customer service support to members of Etsy.com. This role will be filled in Hudson, NY.
About the Position
Etsy Support Reps handle inquiries from members via email. With training, you?ll soon become an expert on ?how to? questions about site features, and on helping our sellers quickly resolve problems and get the resources they need to run their businesses. It is the job of our Support Reps to do everything in their power to help our members get the answers they need---quickly and compassionately.
Our Supporters provide a valuable feedback loop between our community and the folks in Engineering and Product. As a team who works directly with our community, you?ll be collecting and sharing member suggestions, as well as pain points, directly with the rest of the company.
About the Support Team
The Etsy Support team is the most talkative in the office, because that's what we do best. We work primarily with our members via email, and we also get to occasionally help with seller education and represent Etsy at live events. Etsy is always evolving and the Support team has to savvy, expert in explaining site updates and new features to our community. And we get to read member love letters too!
If you think you can hack it with this team, be ready to join the conversation. In just a few weeks, we'll cram your brain so full of Etsy knowledge, you may never have to consult our FAQs again. Not only will you be surrounded by some of the wittiest folks in the company, you'll be in direct interaction with the amazing members of the extraordinary Etsy community.
Training: Support training is 4 weeks long at our Training Center in Hudson, NY.
The ideal candidate for this role has:
Online customer service experience.
Excellent verbal skills.
A positive, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-help attitude.
Prior phone support experience is a plus
Creative thinking skills.
Ability to work well within a team structure, but also with a high level of autonomy.
Ability to multitask well.
Membership in several Social Networking Sites.
Willingness to keep a flexible schedule, which will include some nightshifts, weekends, and holiday hours.
Bi-lingual is a plus.
Ability to occasionally travel to and from our Brooklyn, NY headquarters.
