Description
The successful candidate will serve as the primary customer contact on application and service related issues and be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to customers on the operation and maintenance of Fluidigm?s product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide voice and email assistance to Fluidigm?s customers, distributors and staff
Maintain advanced knowledge of Fluidigm?s products, applications, and services
Produce technical content for manuals, training guides, and application protocols
Coordinate the preparation and delivery of training materials to customer sites
Design and execute Real-Time PCR and SNP Genotyping experiments and provide data analysis
Work within Salesforce.com to build and maintain an accurate customer database
Ensure professional standards of communication are followed
Some travel may be required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, clinical chemistry or similar discipline with laboratory work as a key component with two years of experience or any combination of education and experience.
Knowledge in one of the following fields: Real-Time PCR, Genotyping, Digital PCR, and/or Sequencing
Technical customer support experience in Life Sciences given extra consideration
Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
