Qualification:One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced Required:Prior experience in a technical support or software quality assurance role, including strong technical writing skills and testing ability.
Job duties / responsibilities:
Providing customer support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium
Identifying software issues versus hardware issues versus user training issues and communicating this distinction to customers along with solutions
Configuration of customers' hardware and game software to connect to the Internet
Identifying and correcting or advising on operational issues in client computer systems or video game console
Identifying trends in customer problems and provide clear feedback based on independent testing
Providing hints, tips, or recommendations related to video games
Performing creation, editing, and maintenance of client accounts using company-provided software tools
Assisting customer with application installation, configuration, installation of software updates and patches
Ability to successfully interact with internal peers and senior management
A strong team player, who enjoys working in a team-centric environment
Skills required:
Openings for Japanese and Italian full time employees
Able to promptly answer support-related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
Expert PC troubleshooting skills, including:
Ability to read DxDiag, MS Info, and Windows/Mac error logs to determine the potential cause of a software problem.
Working knowledge of various PC equipment (processors/chipsets, video cards, drivers, types of RAM, etc) that impact system performance and determine software compatibility.
Experience with hardware and software issues, including:
Familiarity with DOS, Windows 9x, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Mac OSX
Networking concepts and hardware troubleshooting, including configurations of modems/routers in a gaming environment.
Proficient in Internet-related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers
Basic HTML skills, such as formatting text and creating hyperlinks
Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel, Numbers, or Google Docs. Basic understanding of using macros/formulae to analyze data preferred
Thorough Internet research skills to determine scope of problem and identify user-reported workarounds
Excellent communication (oral and written) of technical concepts, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
Typing proficiency: 50+ wpm
Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Passion for video games and previous experience with Rockstar Games and 2K Games products a must!
