We are looking for an experienced CVD Design Engineer to design, build and install new equipment as well as improve existing tools. The candidate needs to be familiar with CVD tool process and reaction modeling and designs. The successful candidate will be part of a fast moving and highly motivated team.
Major Responsibilities:
Design complete coating/deposition equipment systems for LPCVD/CVD applications from concept and solid-modeling to the complete tool.
Complete the mechanical design sub-assemblies, and complete system layouts.
Model chemical kinetics of our CVD deposition process in different configurations of our deposition reactors.
Integrate in with gas flow and powder motion simulation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with CVD, LPCVD or MOCVD reactor design.
Familiarity with flow kinetics and hydrodynamics simulations in CVD systems.
Experience with powder processing or CNT growth a plus.
Intimate familiarity with standard semiconductor processing equipment.
Must be proficient with SolidWorks or similar 3D solid modeling software. Should have experience with Floworks, CFD and FEA analysis programs.

Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with a wide variety of people in different areas of R&D process integration, process development, and pilot production to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
Physical requirements necessary to perform this job:
Visual acuity sufficient to work with small parts.
Ability to hear safety alarms, process alarms and abnormal sounds from process equipment.
Physical ability to perform equipment maintenance, including occasionally working in awkward positions.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Ability to manipulate heavy items such as gas cylinders.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
MSME or similar degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
At least 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
5 years experience in mechanical design and vacuum equipment, preferably in the area of LPCVD/CVD reactors,
Hands-on experiences designing and building complex tools.
