DESCRIPTION
The Data Analyst will be a key member of the Settlement Operations team, supporting the reporting and database needs of the Settlement Operations department and other internal customers within the company. This position will utilize data mining, data modeling, and advanced database concepts to extract and transform data into actionable information. The position will play a pivotal role in the migration of database reporting tools as well as driving data and reporting efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
Extract data through queries and transforming data into actionable information and business knowledge used by senior management
Design, develop, and (when necessary) automate reports to ensure accurate on-time delivery of information
Conduct data analysis and data mining in order to enhance company-wide decision making efforts
Design and build databases, including managing and analyzing data from various sources
Publish daily, weekly and monthly reports on key business metrics to various departments
Support the data mining needs and statistical analysis of members of the internal teams
Work with internal customer to gather reporting requirements and parameters
Skills/Education/Experience:
Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including experience in data mining or analysis
Advanced computer skills, including 3-5 years experience with Excel and Access is required
Oracle Applications Express (APEX) experience strongly desired
Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, including Oracle
Experience with VBA or other automation tools preferred
Experience with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence tools preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with internal teams to extract business needs and reporting requirements
B.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Management Science, or related field
