About Us:TradePulse is the wine & spirits industry's most comprehensive sales, distribution and inventory management information service. TradePulse delivers critical information necessary to manage sales, increase distribution, and increase revenue. This position reviews product descriptions and retailer descriptions from distributors and map them correctly to client's shipment products data. Submit loads for processing and delivery into TradePulse database ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards by performing the following duties outlined below.
TradePulse is looking for a full time data analyst that can learn and grow within the production team. The ideal candidate has either a few years of applicable experience with MS SQL, DTS scripts, or is looking to put their newly earned technical degree to work. This position is full time, located in Novato. If you are interested in this position, please respond with a resume and cover letter detailing the following:

Responsibilities:
Loading
- Prioritizes incoming files based on volume and aging
- Reviews files submitted by wholesalers and transfers information to local database.
- Notifies supervisor when errors are detected that cannot be solved directly.
- Compares corrected input and output data with source documents, worksheets, and data displayed on screen of computer terminal to verify corrections.
Coding
- Using an automated interface, codes new distributor products to client product master
- Using an automated interface, assigns client products to TradePulse reporting structure
- Performs regular review of previously unmapped distributor products, refers unresolved items to client services where necessary
- Notifies supervisor when errors are detected that cannot be solved directly.
- Conducts peer review of product coding daily.
Requirements:
- A technical degree or equivalent 3 years applicable experience
- Ability to perform simple queries on SQL database.
- Ability to execute DTS scripts.
- Experience using MS SQL Server and MS Excel.
- Highly developed analysis skills.
- Can work independently and learn quickly.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong ability to be proactive and take initiative.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Flexible when working with others.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of production processes and standards.
