Description:The ideal candidate for this position is a quick learner, analytical thinker and team player. This person should possess strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills. In this position, he/she will use SQL and other statistical tools to analyze and understand large amounts of transactional data, identify patterns, and develop rules and predictive models to help the company to achieve its business goals.
Analyze large volume of transactional data to understand consumer behavior, identify patterns and investigate anomalies.
Learn and maintain knowledge relevant to consumer behavior, risk management, and payment processing.
Research and develop rules to improve fraud detection and monitor rule performance.
Research and develop predictive models to improve fraud detection and monitor model performance.
Respond to data analysis and reporting requests.
Analyze data, database relationships, and data issues in response to business requests.
Look for possible problems with data or processes and take actions to resolve the problem.
Communicate timely and effectively results with management.
Bachelor or Master in Statistics/Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Sciences, or other quantitative fields.
Three or more years of experience in data-centric role.
Solid skills in SQL development and working knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing and data mining.
Solid skills in SAS Stats and/or Enterprise Minter.
Knowledge of Tableau advantageous.
Strong analytical skills for investigating/explaining data discrepancies. Especially skilled at obtaining and leveraging data to determine the root cause of problems and ultimately providing proposals for correcting them.
Excellent at planning and prioritizing work; making whatever effort is required to get projects completed on time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
