Data Analyst MindBody Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Data Analyst specializes in extracting, understanding, manipulating and conveying complex datasets. This individual works closely with the Product Managers and Heads of Development to perform data mining tasks in MINDBODY databases and create custom reports for analysis and product development.
Write custom SQL queries.
Maintain a backlog of data request effectively.
o Prioritize requests from many sources.
o Track tasks as they move through stages of completion.
Maintain an archive of SQL code for effective reuse.
Use knowledge of the software and backend to advise on data requests.
o Provide details on what data is available in the software.
o Suggest ways to improve or clarify the request.
o Look for opportunities to add value to the request.
Stay abreast of design changes and feature releases.
Keep a warehouse of prior data for reference in future requests.
Perform checking of data validity and quality.
Develop independent research projects.
Develop and maintain new KPI?s and existing KPIs.
Assist API Support Team with customer queries and data procedures used via the DataService.
Work with our Research Program Manager to provide data to our Business Intelligence tool.
High School Degree.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, MS Excel/Access, databases, and internet based software.
Able to write clearly and effectively; read, and analyze customer questions, clearly write procedures in response to requests.
Pick up on technical things quickly; is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; continually looks to improve his/her knowledge of the product and service.
Effectively present information (oral and written) and respond to questions in one-on-one and group settings.
Learn quickly when facing new problems; will experiment to find solutions or sources to problems; enjoys challenges of unfamiliar tasks.
Use time effectively and efficiently; concentrate efforts on the more important priorities.
Work well under minimal supervision and with a degree of autonomy.
This role is full-time and on-site in San Luis Obispo. Relocation coverage negotiable.
