Job Description
Position Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer
Job Description:
eMeter, a Siemens Business is looking for a Sr. Oracle Developer for its industry-leading enterprise software solutions. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of requirement analysis, database logical/physical design, application development using PL/SQL in 10g/11i, and performance tuning of the applications. The candidate should have good leadership skills and should be adept in scheduling, load balancing, prioritizing tasks & deliverables for critical software checkpoints and milestones. The candidate should foster team cohesiveness and cooperation with cross-functional groups throughout the company. The candidate will be primarily working with Product Management, Customer Support, and Development Leads to design and develop the database applications for the eMeter product.
Major Responsibilities:
? In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong development experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle utilities
? Shell scripting expertise is highly desired
? Thorough understanding of application development lifecycle
? Must be a self-starter requiring minimal direction, should possess excellent communication skills, and be a strong team player with the potential of becoming a team lead
? Review Software Design Specification documents and develop a comprehensive understanding of user requirements
? Maintain and enhance existing applications
? Be comfortable with fast paced schedule driven product cycles
? Create technical documents to support the implementation
Qualifications:
? BS in Computer Science or equivalent
? At least 7 years PL/SQL development experience is required
? Extensive experience developing applications using PL/SQL
? Extensive experience in writing Oracle procedures, functions, packages & triggers
? Good knowledge of SQL-Loader and XML
? Excellent verbal and written skills
? Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and resourceful in issue resolution
? Be a driven, self-motivated, independent and proactive leader
? Experience with utility (Electric, Water, Gas) industry is desired
