BTI Systems is growing and continues to expand its team to meet the unparalleled global demand from content and service providers for its solutions and services.
We have an immediate need for an experienced, highly motivated and results-driven Data Center/Cloud Marketing Director to join our team, responsible for increasing customer and partner preference, and industry awareness for the company's strategic data center and cloud networking initiatives. The individual will have working knowledge, experience and recognition in the data center/cloud/applications/SDN industry.
Working closely with sales, marketing communications, PR/AR, product management, systems engineering plus external contractors, this individual contributor will own, drive, develop, present and be the key "go to" person for all marketing and sales materials/content/messaging/positioning/strategy related to the Company's data center and cloud networking solutions. The individual will also be responsible for working with business development to drive co-marketing initiatives with key strategic data center partners. The individual will champion and evangelize BTI solutions to sales, business and technical audiences including customers, prospects, employees, partners, media and industry influencers.
The ideal candidate will have an MBA or equivalent degree coupled with 15+ years experience marketing to leading service and content providers in the cloud and data center industry, with the ability to leverage that knowledge to develop compelling messaging and positioning to increase the Company's market visibility, share and growth. Strong technical skills in applications (L4-7), networking, software, SDN concepts coupled with the ability to translate into business value will be key. He/she has high energy and championing skills and can communicate with impact, both as a writer as well as a presenter, including as key public speaker at major industry events/conferences/webinars around the globe.
The Data Center/Cloud Marketing Director will:
Have a working knowledge of applications layer (L4-7) and SDN, ideally as an industry-recognized individual today. Knowledge of networking is also desired.
Understand key industry trends driving demand in each of target customer and partner segments, particularly around data center/cloud applications and services.
Work to develop a new category of product in the cloud networking market
Develop set of compelling BTI solutions (cross product) that will drive the company's marketing strategy/share within target customer and partner segments
Build compelling messaging and positioning that differentiates and elevates BTI solutions in the market within those target customer/partner segments
Analyze and compare with key competitors
Work with and influence product management, business development, and sales/systems engineering to define and articulate key solution value propositions
Direct high-impact campaigns and launches related to data center and cloud networking initiatives; including working with inside sales and marketing communications to build integrated demand generation and brand awareness campaigns targeting customer segments, and working with PR team as spokesperson for media launches
Champion solutions to key industry influencers and customers by representing BTI and participating/speaking/presenting at industry events, webinars, analyst round-tables, forums, media outreach etc.
Develop and deliver high impact marketing and sales materials/content - including sales tools, data sheets, solutions briefs, PPT, web content, webinars, field programs, videos, bylines, abstracts
Identify, develop and budget key co-marketing initiatives with lead strategic partners
Provide sales and SE training in terms of solution benefits and positioning as subject matter expert
Work with global teams to localize solutions for all geographies
