Position Description
XOS is seeking a senior, self standing individual to join our distributed IT team reporting to
the Director of IT. This individual will be responsible for the management and support of IT
Systems and Infrastructure for XOS Digital data centers. This includes: Backups, Operating
Systems (Windows and Linux), Virtual environments, Storage Subsystems (NAS) and
networking components (WAN, LAN, Firewalls).
Position?s Objectives and Responsibilities
As a knowledgeable IT leader with skills and experience in Operating Systems, Platform
and Networking you will need to effectively assist our distributed IT organization with the
following:
o Management and support of XOS Digital Infrastructure in multiple data centers
including DB Servers, Video Servers, Backups, Storage and Networking
o Provide monitoring and support of production network and systems with the ability to
be available on weekends, off hours and when emergencies arise
o Ability to effectively form, interact and manage external vendor relations
o Effectively handle any escalations for issues in your area of responsibility.
Occasionally you may be asked to visit remote sites to diagnose more challenging
problems
o Assist IT team with system and network administration tasks

Leadership Skills and Personal Attributes:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
o Prior experience for mission critical business applications and Customer facing
applications.
o Ability to work diligently under minimal supervision to achieve agreed upon
objectives and priorities (results orientated).
o Systematic thinker and consistent approach to problem investigation and
problem solving
o Composure along with the ability to react quickly during crisis (e.g. Network
Down)
o A strong drive to continually improve overall reliability, integrity and performance
o Ability to work effectively in a distributed team orientated environment
o Ability to build & maintain relationships with Stake Holders
o Ability to keep IT management aware of and up to date on site issues
o Ability to manage/direct contractors and interns
Technical Skills & Experience (Required)
o 3-5 years industry IT experience
o Knowledge of Windows Servers and some experience with Linux
o VMware administration experience
o Knowledge of Servers, Storage Subsystems, Networking Components and
Firewalls
o Excellent troubleshooting skills in a network environment
o Demonstrable skills in creating sound solutions to issues affecting the IT
organization
Technical Skills & Experience (Desired)
o Windows expert
o IIS expert
o Microsoft SQL Administration
o VMware ESX
o Network and Application security while scaling
o Microsoft MCSE and Cisco CCET, CCNA or equivalent experience
