Data Center Network Manager / Sr. Manager
We are in search of an experienced Data Center Network Manager/Sr. Manager to work in bustling environment. This person is responsible for designing, implementing, managing and supporting the global data network operations infrastructure. Responsible for design, implementation, and daily management of all network-related elements and systems for Good Technology, including management of network security systems. Ensure performance and reliability of all aspects of network elements and network security. Responsible for performance, SLA, and coordination of network engineering Operations team. Responsible for customer communication regarding network peering configurations, implementation, and performance. Accountable for the global Good customer-facing network infrastructure. Establish internal policies, procedures and systems in line with industry best practices to respond to client's functional and technical support needs. Coach/mentor/lead direct reports including, monitoring and tracking performance, writing and delivering high-quality annual reviews on time and providing assistance in recruiting efforts. Provide strategic and operational leadership for implementing programs and processes. Through annual business planning and budgeting, ensure that alignment exists between corporate objectives and those of the Operations network group. Architect, monitor, and maintain WAN/LAN infrastructure supporting business-critical customer service. Support Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, VPN concentrators; F5 Networks LTMs. Serve as escalation point for support organization. Troubleshoot and quickly resolve network issues.
Thorough understanding of data networking, TCP/IP and OSI model
Must demonstrate knowledge of routing (BGP), load balancing strategies and approaches, and Cisco switching
Demonstrated ability to direct project activities, ensuring customer satisfaction with support and project delivery.
10+ years? experience supporting firewalls, servers, routers & switches in 24x7 environment of which 6+ years must be in a technical support team leadership capacity
Expert-level knowledge & experience with Cisco switching and routing
Experience with implementing and enhancing technical support processes and customer management systems.
Proven team & leadership skills
Strong customer (internal and external) communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of global support best practices and 24-hour multi-shift support environments
Experience in managing globally distributed teams
Experience in supporting clients in international regions (EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Europe, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts.
Experience with Unix operating system a plus
Experience with F5 BigIP/Viprion/LTM a plus
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
Bachelor degree or equivalent equivalent in experience
