Data Engineer Metamarkets
Type: Full TimeMin. Experience: Mid LevelMetamarkets is looking for people who are excited by data. You will be part of our backend team, which is a fluid set of engineering resources that helpout on all aspects of our backend as needed. This includes working on our data ingestion systems, the Druid, distributed data store and platform APIs.
You will provide strategic experience and guidance on all things data. You should enjoy working with data from ingesting to cleansing to munging to extracting value. You should be comfortable at a Linux command line and using pragmatic utilities like grep, sed, awk, sort, and uniq. You should also be comfortable using JVM-based languages.
This position will provide a significant amount of exposure to the technologies we use to build our backend, such as Hadoop, Pig, Scala, and Node.js. Previous experience with these is a plus.
All applicants must be able to work on site.
