Role Description
The Feed Analyst is responsible for understanding all business processes related to the Data Staging department and supporting the Quickcomm business community. The Feed Analyst?s primary responsibility is to develop functional requirements to a team of developers in order to produce and maintain a large inventory of telecommunications electronic data housed within the company?s proprietary databases. The Feed Analyst?s primary responsibilities also include ad-hoc and automated report development as well as process efficiency development in support of client requests and other functional areas within the company.
1. Impact on the Business
Perform detailed analysis of incidents to determine the root cause of data issues
Track known causes
Raise change requests to ensure solutions are developed
Work with delivery teams to ensure that changes are delivered within the required time and quality standards
Accomplish goals assigned by management
2. Customers, Suppliers and Third Parties
Follow up with multiple operating companies to resolve open issues appropriate data files as needed.
Verify changes delivered by the support teams are delivered to agreed standards
Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation of issues to support teams in Tier 1 and 2
3. Leadership and Teamwork
Interface with multiple operating companies to understand and correct data integrity issues.
Interface with a development team to work through changes in file and/or data layouts
Provide leadership on business process and best practice related to testing and delivery of changes related to incidents and problems
4. Innovation and Change
Be a champion for change within the business to ensure that best practices are adhered to across the data lifecycle
5. Knowledge and Experience
Performs other duties as assigned and directed
Process
6. Communication
Ability to reach out to carrier contacts to identify process for obtaining electronic carrier data feeds
Ability to interact with multiple departments, provide commitment dates, and status updates
Essential
Ability to manage issues using a project-oriented approach
Intermediate Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Detail oriented.
Possess analytical skills to present solutions to problems, while demonstrating a level of independence.
Data manipulation and analyst between text editors, Excel and/or Access.
Detailed understanding of data files layouts and format documents.
Ability to manage multiple ad-hoc requests at one time by focusing on priority
Teamwork oriented and strategically focused
Emphasis on customer service and quality
Adapt to an ever changing environment while being able to remain focused and not lose sight of strategic goals
A high level of work independence is necessary while being able to be supportive and provide direction based on company initiative
