The HMS Data Integration and Standardization Analyst is responsible for procuring and integrating data sources into the HMS Provider MasterFile? and Commercial Products. He or she analyzes new and existing data sources, develops, implements and executes the plan for loading, standardizing, and integrating these sources into HMS? commercial products.
To be successful in this role the Data Integration & Standardization Analyst must understand the business value of HMS? solution and the impact that each data source will have on the usability, quality and value of the product.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Analyzes new and existing data sources, develops, implements and executes the plan for loading, standardizing, and integrating these sources into HMS? commercial products.
Follows standards and procedures for procuring, evaluating, standardizing, integrating and validating data sources into HMS? commercial products.
Meets acquisition and loading schedule milestones. Publishes deliverable statuses.
Identifies and analyzes data quality issues associated with data sources; identifies root cause and remedies.
Provides input to improve the applications and tools used to track and process data sources.
Fulfills ad hoc requests to support product development and custom client solutions.
Meets agreed upon timelines for the completion of project tasks.
Key Competencies:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong analytical skills; ability to creatively solve diverse problems
Strong general technical ability:
Programming Skills: Scripting (shell, Perl, ?), HTML, XML
Some SQL programming
Relational Database Knowledge
Tidal or Mozenda experience a plus
Some familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing information and/or healthcare claims data a plus
Bachelor Science in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
Ability to work under tight deadlines
