Data Scientist Tremor Media
The Data Scientists at Tremor Video are responsible for the categorization and optimization technologies that are the foundation components of our platform. In this role, you will work alongside research scientists and engineers in the design and implementation of data-driven algorithms that enhance the performance of our system.This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of developing cutting edge machine learning algorithms and frameworks for scientific experimentation and analysis!
Skill sets:
Passion for ?playing? with tons of data and supporting scientific experiments to validate the performance of algorithms
Comfortable with building frameworks to support core technology development based on high level requirements and technical papers
Experience with Hadoop and working with multi-terabyte systems.
At least 5 years of development in a Unix environment
Strong skills in Java programming and debugging statistically
Able to communicate fluently in English
Basic or advanced degree holder in computer science
Plusses:
Knowledge of Regular Expression, Perl, MySQL, R and Unix shell programming
Familiarity with development tools such as make, ant, maven, swig and libtool
Understanding of natural language processing and machine learning techniques
Advanced computer science degree holder
Development experience on NoSQL paradigm
Development experience with C
