What you?ll be doing:
As a data scientist you will be involved in the extraction and mining of meaningful data from our Hadoop Cluster. You will be joining a talented, collaborative team at the forefront of exciting new ventures in the mobile ad space. A successful candidate will have a passion for building highly scalable systems, enjoys working with big data sets and has a proactive and organized approach to solving problems. Your responsibilities will include:
Building advanced predictive models and extracting user profile data from Terabytes of impression data generated by our real-time bidding platform.
Participating in the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of our Big Data Pipeline.
Desire to join a collaborative work environment. Comfortable with being part of a cross-disciplinary team among statisticians, engineers and analysts to get your ideas implemented and tested.
Getting your hands dirty working on defining the problem statements and extracting the data needed for modeling.
Who we?re looking for:
3-5 years experience with Hadoop and related components (MapReduce, HBase, Hive)
5-7 years working in Linux environments.
Experience working with one or more of the following: MatLab, Mahout, R, SciPy, Scala
Comfortable with MySQL
Write software for fun and have worked on projects of your own you can demo.
Experience with RTB Technology (OpenRTB)
Working knowledge of SVN or Git
Computer Science or equivalent degree from a top computer science program.
