Data Security Solution Engineer/Post Sales Engineer Vormetric
This position will work closely with our Technical Sales team to develop and implement Vormetric Data Security solution based on customer requirements. Preferred locations include Midwest (Chicago or Dallas Area) or West Coast (San Jose/San Francisco area). The ideal candidate will have a broad hands-on technical background with professional experience in operating systems, databases, storage, security and networking.Responsibilities:
Responsible for customer-facing product deployments -both pre-sales (i.e. trials) and paid post sales engagements
Serve as a Vormetric Data Security Solution expert including its underlying architecture and best practices. Ensure that Vormetric products are deployed to meet customer's technical and business requirements
Deliver product training to partners, customers and other stakeholders
Identify and champion product enhancement requests and product support issues
Requirements:
At least five years of experience as a solution engineer/consultant, post-sales engineer or IT administrator/operations
Enterprise software installation experience is required
Customer facing or sales support experience strongly preferred
Strong skills in UNIX, Linux or Windows Server operating systems. A basic understanding and hands on experience on UNIX platforms is a must
Strong background in at least one of the following areas - storage systems, databases (Oracle, DB2 or SQL server) or security (encryption, access control, PKI, digital certificates) is a must
Ability to do basic network troubleshooting
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and verbal communication skills
Must be highly motivated, competitive, and a self-starter
Strong team player. Willingness to proactively interact with the team and achieve results in a dynamic small company environment
Additional Requirements
Prior experience in a similar position in a known security products company a big plus
Knowledge and/or past experience working on compliance requirements/projects such as PCI DSS, HIPAA HITECH is a big plus
Willingness to travel - up to 75%
