POSITION: Data Service Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Product Data Administration (PDA)
The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist in quality control of portfolio data, administer portfolio setups, partner with third-party data-providing vendors, and provide team support with an assigned workload.
The Data Service Analyst acts as a mentor to the Junior Data Service Analyst, works in conjunction with the Senior Data Service Analyst and other Data Service Analyst in completing the tasks as required, and may receive in work from the Technical Lead, or Team Lead in addition to the Supervisor.
?Performs daily duties using generally established procedures and precedents.
?Escalates issues to Sr. Data Service Analyst, Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Supervisor and assists with solving issues that are without procedures or precedents.
?Researches and resolves intermediate level issues within established work processes.
?Assists junior staff members with process methods.
?Establishes and maintains strong and cooperative relationships with key contacts in the financial industry to foster a cooperative environment for the resolution of problems and/or errors.
?Participates in root cause analyses to correct and/or prevent deviations in processes and workflows.
?Participates in special projects as assigned by Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Supervisor.
?Coordinates with the team and supervisor for back-up coverage.
?Manages special projects as needed.
?Supports scorecard goals and objectives.
?High School diploma or equivalent required.
?Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
?3-4 years experience in the financial services or related industry.
?Has a fundamental understanding of the work environment and processes.
?Has working knowledge of the organization.
?Must have the ability to communicate the details of workflow processes in Product Data Administration to junior staff members.
?Must have working knowledge of the securities industry, of various types of investment vehicles, and trading methods.
?Demonstrate understanding of quality control methods.
?Must possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
?Demonstrate basic level skills to critically analyze information and make recommendations.
?Demonstrate ability to be able to adjust to changing priorities.
?Work as a member of a team with collaborative decision making.
?Must demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy and be able to work with a variety of personalities.
?Demonstrate flexibility, and assertiveness in order to complete multiple tasks and meet the demands placed on his/her time.
?Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot daily processing obstacles.
?Demonstrate ability to gather information from various sources to assist in critical decision making.
?Demonstrate practical reasoning capacity and judgment skills

?Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
?Must be able to comprehend and act on information communicated both verbally and from internal/external documents or computer terminal.
?Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
?Must have strong math skills.
?Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
