Data Services interacts outside the physician space with payers, public health, as well as research entities.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Application Engineer II will take the initiative to help innovative application by providing input to improve designs. This position will lead and may provide supervision oversight for 2-4 developers. Ideal candidates need to be able to build and create web services, objects, classes, and architecture proposals accordingly by understanding architecture documentation. Application Engineer should also be familiar with the uses of SQL Management Studio, SQL Profiler, Fiddler, Visual Studio Debugger, TFS, and Project Structure. Candidates will also need to have an understanding of all transaction tiers to be able to assist research and fix large defects.
Application Engineer will collaborate and coordinate projects with industry partners and other internal Greenway departments, while effectively working with R&D support liaisons and Database developers to build a complete solution.
Education/Experience Requirements:
6-10 years of software development experience with Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or other related field of study Or 12+ years of software development experience without a degree
Must have experience working with Microsoft Technologies
Strong management skills and experience in providing guidance and oversight to less experienced developers
Candidate needs to act with a sense of urgency and prioritize accordingly
Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and at all levels across various departments.
Candidate needs experience and understanding of full product Software Development Life Cycle
Must have strong web services experience including web application architecture, implementation and deployment
C#, jquery, MVC 3, WCF and TFS experience is required
Experience using SQL Server 2008 / 2012 and should be able to integrate Service Oriented Architecture with applications data.
Healthcare background and experience with Agile development are preferred, but not required
Demonstrated a high level of integrity
