Data Services Engineer
The Data Services Engineer will be responsible for implementing and operating an end-to-end data solution connecting client data systems to the Renew OnDemand platform. The manager must drive the implementation of ETL and Reporting processes within a complex multi-tenant environment. The manager must also drive operational execution across customer engagements. The manager must have the ability to quickly assess team/project needs, capacity and competency and make changes where necessary. This is a technical managerial position requiring the individual to provide technical input to products/tools/processes and work with peers to implement a comprehensive project based planning process across all groups and projects.
Manage data loading and data transformation for client implementations into the Renew OnDemand platform with Data Engineers.
Manage the development and maintenance of custom reports, metrics and dashboards with Data Engineers.
Develops/enhances and recommends policies, tools, practices, standards for data quality verification and cleanup, extract summarization, reporting and analysis.
Manage an operational team to support ongoing client needs for data transformation, reporting, research, data quality support and issue resolution
Works collaboratively with Professional Services, Support and Client teams to proactively drive timelines and commitments.
Manages staff workload, capacity and SLAs across multiple client engagements
Lead professional growth and development of staff
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of experience in data management, software development or engineering
2+ years of experience in managing data teams
Strong project management experience successfully managing enterprise-level and operational initiatives
Very good understanding of data architecture, processes, and components.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL tools (Boomi, Informatica, Talend) and Reporting Tools (GoodData, Cognos, BusinessObjects, CrystalReports)
Strong knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies.
Proven business analysis and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with internal staff and third party vendors
Working experience with web services/APIs and document formats such as JSON/XML
Working experience with MongoDB and/or nodeJS a plus
