Database Administrator CCS Medical Holdings, Inc.
Overview:Responsible for ensuring the availability of Production database environments, and maintains and administers development and other databases. Assists the database team in aspects of database administration including designing, installing, configuring, upgrading, documenting, troubleshooting and maintaining Oracle and other relational database environments. Provides support to the Application Development team for database-related change control.
Responsibilities:
Maintains backups and standby databases for business continuity
Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support
Excellent knowledge of Oracle database principles and administration, including RMAN, and PL/SQL tuning
Works with other IT team members to resolve database performance issues, replication and other distributed data issues
Provide technical expertise to team members and business users in different projects
Creates stored procedures, functions and other Oracle source types
Supports high availability solutions using RAC and DataGuard
Assists with eBusiness Suite application and database maintenance including installation, upgrades, cloning, patches and related tasks in Oracle 11.5 or later
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree, (BA/BS) in Information Systems from a four-year college or university and four or more years Oracle experience required or equivalent combination or education and experience
Strong knowledge of Oracle database environments, administration, maintenance and security
Good working understanding of the information technology environment
Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Strong organization, planning and development skills
Strong skills in time and information management, presentation/training, decision-making, and situational awareness
