The Database Administrator provides technical expertise in the implementation, and maintenance of relational database management systems that support our applications within the Greenway Retail Services Team. The Database Administrator also works on new software requirements, monitors daily system operations, and performs system maintenance for all areas of databases.Responsibilities:
? Administration/Maintenance of Production databases
? Maintaining Database environments including Development and Production databases
? Developing T-SQL scripts, SSIS packages
? Maintaining schemas
? Troubleshooting production issues
? Monitoring performance
? On call rotation
? Backups and recovery
? Coordinate release needs
? Commitment to data integrity
? Commitment to security needs
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred, 5+ years? experience without degree is required
T-SQL : 3+ years? experience
Experience in database design and sql programming : 3+ years? experience
Microsoft Sql Server (2005/2008) : 3+ years? experience
DTS and SSIS : 2+ years? experience
Database maintenance and optimization, transaction handling (SQLServer 2005/2008)
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Data Modeling concepts and tools (preferably Erwin)
Able to restore and recover databases
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Strong problem solving skills
