You will, among other things:
? Install, upgrade, and maintain all PostgreSQL-related server and administration software.
? Design, install, configure, and test new databases, as well as preform version upgrades of existing databases.
? Investigate database server issues and implement solutions to enhance database performance, availability, and reliability.
? Automate repetitive tasks and proactively monitor activity, utilization, exceptions, and database health.
You must?
? Have at least two years professional administration experience using a PostgreSQL database in a Linux environment.
? Have some experience in software development.
? Be a creative, innovative thinker with a proven track record of turning insight into action.
? Utilize excellent verbal and written English skills.
? Grasp complex software applications and learn quickly, often figuring it out or learning on your own.
? Have the ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based projects.
? Have an awesome sense of humor.
