RedBrick Health is actively seeking a talented and motivated DBA to perform analysis and management of RedBrick Health?s Production databases supporting our applications under the direction of the Senior DBA. These applications include consumer websites, operations management applications, and internal software systems. RedBrick Health is looking for a DBA who can work with others to understand database issues and address appropriately. Essential Job Functions
Building and maintaining automated processes to support databases to support our growth.
Perform specific functions of managing and tuning mysql and no sql database.
Education: A bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent technology experience.
Experience: 2-5 years of DBA experience.
2 years RDBMS experience. Any SQL platform okay but strong preference for a Linux based platform. MySQL experience another big plus.
Essential Job Requirements:
Any NoSQL experience a plus. In lieu of experience an openness to learning/working with non-traditional database platforms.
Proven willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies. This is a continual learning position, it will never stop, you will never ?know everything?.
Strong foundation in an operational/administrative methodology. Someone process oriented, careful, documentation drive.
Ability to stay calm under pressure related to production issues.
Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting complex, distributed software applications
Ability to work well with other teams to resolve issues and defects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
