Database Administrator: SQL Server and Oracle -- contractorCrescendo Bioscience
The Database Administrator will work with the Software Engineering team to design, build,
install, configure, and support business system databases, and may assist with data warehousing
technical components (ETL, Reporting). Our environment includes Microsoft SQL Server
database servers, data warehouses, production ETLs, and Oracle database servers.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Design, implement, configure, integrate, document, and maintain databases in support
of scientific and commercial applications and warehouses developed by the Software
Engineering team.
? Own, track, document, and resolve database related incidents and requests
? Proactively monitor and respond to database-related alerts and escalations
? Install, configure, optimize, and upgrade databases
? Assess and directly improve performance of production systems, and advise developers
on query optimization.
? Support quality, security, regulatory compliance, and performance of our software
systems
? Develop, manage and test storage, archive, back-up and recovery plans.
? Assist in the development of logical and physical data models and other data
architecture deliverables
? Assist in the documentation and support of complex ETL processes
Requirements:
? BA/BS or higher in CS/EE or related technical field, or equivalent experience
? 2 or more years? experience in core database administration in a Microsoft SQL server
environment
? 1 or more years? experience in Oracle administration
? 1 or more years? experience in data modeling, database architecture, and mapping? Experience using defect tracking and source control systems
? Strong written and verbal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Familiarity and experience with SDLC principles
? Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

architecture and mapping

? Experience with FDA, CLIA, or related regulatory environments
