The IMN Database Administrator is responsible for support and management of the company database environments and services. The Database Administrator reports to the IT and Operations Manager.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Day-to-day administration of the company's database environment (Primarily Microsoft SQL Server 2008) including the monitoring of all systems, backups and scheduled tasks.
In addition, the role will interact closely with Development and IT/Operations staff to develop processes and tools that will simplify and/or automate routine tasks.
Qualifications (skills/requirements):
5+ Years experience managing MS-SQL databases in a 24x7 uptime environment.
Experience maintaining SQL server in a Microsoft cluster environment.
Experience establishing coding guidelines with developers.
Experience with other relational database technologies a plus (MySql).
Strong communication, interpersonal and teaching/counseling/coaching/documentation skills.
Confidentiality, high ethical standards, excellent use of judgment and discretion.
Entrepreneurial attitude and skills including a willingness to take risks.
Excellent change management skills to lead the organization through growth and change.
